With functionalism, the unnecessary ornamentations of the turn of the century were rationalized away. We develop our storage solutions based on Scandinavian design tradition, where function and modularity interact with timeless aesthetics and simplicity – and where form follows function.
From our headquarters in Jönköping, we create and develop ideas and concepts, which come to life in our own production facilities in Nässjö and Kaunas, Lithuania.
Historik
the 1930s – AB Järnarmatur, a business founded by Bertil Antonsson in 1938, manufactures frames for lampshades, flexible metal hose and household appliances.
the 1960s — Interiors for cabinets, carousels for pot cabinets, and wire baskets for kitchens begin to be manufactured. They invest in a facility with the then ultra-modern powder coating technology, as one of the first companies in Europe.
the 1980s — Through an acquisition of the Falkenberg based company Pelly, we change our name to Pelly Industri. The name Pelly is a combination of Pelle and Billy, the brothers who founded the company.
the 1990s — The automated production line “Back Line” produces out its first “Pelly Bac” – the wardrobe basket with the patented round corner.
the 2000s — During the early 2000s, a lot happens in the company. Through acquisitions, production of custom-made sliding doors and wardrobe fittings begins. A fully automated production line with integrated painting is ready. The wire basket begins to be manufactured for IKEA and we develop a carousel with a chipboard bottom. In addition, Pelly Baltic is established in Kaunas, Lithuania.
the 2010s — In 2011, the company Pelly Components is created – components for kitchen, bathroom and wardrobe manufacturers. A new alternative to the wire basket is starting to be manufactured – our mesh basket. The family-owned company LG Collection AB is acquired. LG Collection manufactures customized and Swedish-made worktops and backsplash panels. Pelly Intressenter AB changes its name to Pelly Group AB and in 2019 the company is bought by Segulah.
the 2020s —Our production moves from Hillerstorp to Nässjö and all production in Sweden now takes place under the same roof in the modern factory.
